What a fantastic afternoon full of emotions, pride and happiness!
We had the pleasure of celebrating our most awaited Summer Show at the Bendinat Auditorium last Friday, starting at 3pm.
This beautiful evening allowed us to celebrate student progress and hard work. Our KS1 and KS2 students have long been practicing their songs and performances to showcase what they have learned throughout the year in front of so many parents and guests. From Year 1 to Year 6, students also performed a colourful array of songs from famous artists such as Rihanna, Bruno Mars and John Legend, to name but a few. It was an honour to see such a wonderful display of commitment for teamwork and community awareness from our students.
During the afternoon’s celebration, our Spanish teacher Ms. Campos introduced “Voluntarios en Kenia,” a charity project that our BIC Community have been involved in throughout this year, and with which our students have gained an awareness of how little gestures can be life changing for other children. Over the summer, Ms. Campos will once again travel to Kenya to deliver your donations and assist in the building of better facilities for the children at the small village of Mombassa. The final goal is to give support to the orphanage “Baby Life Rescue Centre” so all children can access the basic life necessities such as a balanced diet, water and medical assistance.
We would like to thank our students, parents and teachers for making this afternoon such a memorable celebration, while sharing laughs and great moments.
Congratulations and well done everyone for your hard work!
