Dear Parents,

Only two weeks before the end of term and there is no slowing down at BIC.

As one successful trip returned from Slovenia, we prepare for a secondary trip to Paris led by our French Department. What a fabulous opportunity to visit the city and an exciting end to the year.

Primary students have been performing to great success in their Hollywood inspired end of termperformance and Secondary students are preparing for the Celebration Evening this Friday night; many congratulations to all award winners.

On Friday 21st we will hold our Summer Fest, at 4pm I shall be saying some farewell words to all who make BIC the success it is.

As you can see, the end is near but the pace never lets up.

As ever

Duncan Giles

Friendship Week at BIC with 2V Class

BIC celebrated the Friendship Week!

As part of the friendship week at BIC, year 2V class came together with secondary students from year 10 to read books and share stories. It was so inspiring watching the year 10 students reading with excitement and expression as the younger children listened eagerly. Year 2V were very sad when the bell rang but we hope to do more of this in the near future!

KS2 Show at BIC

This week year 3,4 and 5 children performed their summer musical show "At the Movies" to their parents. It was a tour de force through the years of musical cinema. The children performed songs from `The wizard of Oz´, `The Lion King´, `High School Musical´ and `Mamma Mia 2´. Each year group sang and danced to the delight of a packed audience. The show started with a rousing rendition of `The Greatest Show´ from the film, The Greatest Showman. In between each song, the year 5 students read an informative narrative giving more details of each films history. The show was brought to an energetic finale with all six classes singing "Give a Little Love" from the film Bugsy Malone. The children all ended on a high with a confetti big bang. Well done to all children. What a show!

Year 2 - `Plants & Flowers´ Science Project
