We are now approaching our Easter break and this time should be well utilised by our students in examination years to revise and prepare for the upcoming public examination sessions.
We have had a busy week at BIC and welcomed many potential students during our Open Day on Thursday. My thanks to those parents who assisted in making these visitors feel most welcome.
I wish you all a very happy holiday and look forward to welcoming you back in May.

Year 1 Trip to the Planetarium
Our Year 1s had a fantastic time discovering more about stars and our solar system this week at the Planetarium in Costitx.
Year 2 Trip to La Granja
Year 2 had a wonderful day sampling the delights of the 17th century Mallorcan farmhouse ‘La Granja’ near Esporles. The children enjoyed looking around the estate at old household artefacts, old machinery and traditional crafts. They loved discussing how different life must have been for people in the past as we visited the animals and different rooms of the mansion including the torture room!
We even got to taste some delicious buñols! It was such a fun and interesting way for the children to learn about how a farmhouse was managed many centuries ago.
Year 4 Trip to La Reservá
Earlier this week, Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic day in the Tramuntana Mountains. They visited La Reservá National Park near Puigpunyent, in order to compare and contrast Mallorca to China which they have been studying about this term. The children were extremely enthusiastic and listened attentively to the guide who gave them lots of information about the landscape, flora and fauna, and local wildlife.
