Dear Parents,

We have had a sport filled week with Sports Prizes on Friday evening and both the Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 Sports Days. Many thanks to all the parents who came to support these important events.

We look forward to the upcoming trips with Year 6 and Year 7 students travelling to Slovenia next week and a future secondary trip to Paris. Also, we prepare for the end of term with the Celebration Evening on June 14th and our Summer Fest on the 21st.

As you can see, things just keep on going at BIC

As ever,

Duncan Giles

Sports Awards Celebration

Last Friday evening was the inaugural BIC Sports Awards to celebrate all of the efforts and achievements by our students this year across the cycling club, volleyball club and football teams. There was a fantastic turn out from parents and students alike with over 70 people attending the celebration in el Chiringuito in Palmanova beach. Miss Izabela and Mr. Fitzpatrick have been impressed with the passion and enthusiasm shown by all BIC students this year and would love to recognise the effort and commitment of all of our young people. There were two awards for each of the three clubs and an overall sportsman and sportswoman of the year award.

Miss Izabela and Mr. Fitzpatrick would like to thank Mr. Giles for his support on Sports at BIC as well as all of the parents for continuing to encourage their young children to take part and do their best.

Early Years & KS1 Sports Day

On Tuesday, we celebrated the perfect day for Sports Day for our Early Years and KS1 at BIC. The parents, teachers and children came together for a great morning of races and refreshments. The children showed great determination in all of their events including the obstacle course, 100-meter sprint and Javelin.
The parents had to wait until the end before they got their turn at the Egg and Spoon race!
It was a wonderful atmosphere and all of the children showed great sportsmanship.
Thank you to everyone who came to support the event

KS2 Sports Day

We have celebrated a week full of sports, sportsmanship and FUN! It was great to see so many of you at our annual Sports Day. Well done to everyone for taking part and making it such a fantastic day.

Year 2V Class Assembly

2V have had a lot of fun writing and practising their assembly related to their PSHE topic 'believing in yourself'. They enjoyed learning songs and dances as well as deciding what encouraging words they could share with their peers on how to be a positive person. Mrs von Waberer and Miss Beckett were extremely proud of every child's performance and hope they continue to be true to themselves!

Year 2 Seeds Experiment

As part of the Plants topic this term, 2X class experimented with seeds, placing them on top of filter paper inside a petri dish and added water so that we can watch how the seeds develop each day as part of germination. We are excited every morning taking a look at the petri dishes to see any seeds sprouting!

Mr Steve's Last Day

You will be missed by everyone and good luck in your next adventure!
