Dear Parents,

It has been a magical start to the year with lots of new students joining and all our lovely children excited to be back. There were some very happy parents too!!

As you will see there has been much work done this summer to improve the site and this work will continue during the coming term. We will be inviting you in for an Open Morning so that you can see the new areas of the school once the work is fully complete.

Our Early Years Outdoor Area has a new flooring of thick astroturf that the children have been exploring throughout the week. It makes the area even greener and calmer than before and now it really looks like a garden. The shed has been removed and over the next few weeks you will see smaller, more usable sheds and role play areas appearing for the children to use. We are also building a small stage at the back for all our budding Nursery and Reception musicians to use.

In KS1 and KS2 classrooms have been reorganised, repainted and look great. The atmosphere in school is calm and conducive to learning. When we asked our students what they wanted more of in school many said Science and Cookery. On the top floor we are creating a mini Science Lab that is almost ready for experiments and scientific discoveries. On the first floor our Art Room has been completely refurbished and will soon contain a cookery area.

I am delighted to let you know that our website has now been translated into Spanish so hopefully for some of you it will be easier to navigate.

The students have come back to school happy, full of energy and ready to learn. A reminder that as of Monday the front door will be closed at 9am and after that time you will be required to sign in late with Ms Gillian in the office. For all students it is important that they arrive on time and that lessons start promptly at 9. I thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Family Picnic at Palmanova Beach - Saturday 14th September 12-4pm. Please join us for a lovely lunch on the beach...details to follow.

Have a wonderful weekend, I am sure your children will need a rest after their first few days back to school.

All the best,
