Dear Parents,

It has indeed been a year full of fantastic achievements and enriching experiences.

We have also been very busy in the last couple of weeks, celebrating our students’ achievements through graduations and assemblies, enjoying a fantastic array of colourful performances during our Summer Show and meeting peers from our sister school Britannica International School, Shanghai.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Year 6 Graduates once again, each of whom we are immensely proud, and wish them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours at their new schools.

We hope you have a restful and fun-filled summer holiday and look forward to seeing you in August.

Warm regards,

Lowri Millar

Principal BIC Sant Agustí

Sant Agustí Summer Show

What a fantastic afternoon full of emotions, pride and happiness!

We had the pleasure of celebrating our most awaited Summer Show at the Bendinat Auditorium last Friday, starting at 3pm.

This beautiful evening allowed us to celebrate student progress and hard work. Our KS1 and KS2 students have long been practicing their songs and performances to showcase what they have learned throughout the year in front of so many parents and guests. From Year 1 to Year 6, students also performed a colourful array of songs from famous artists such as Rihanna, Bruno Mars and John Legend, to name but a few. It was an honour to see such a wonderful display of commitment for teamwork and community awareness from our students.

During the afternoon’s celebration, our Spanish teacher Ms. Campos introduced “Voluntarios en Kenia,” a charity project that our BIC Community have been involved in throughout this year, and with which our students have gained an awareness of how little gestures can be life changing for other children. Over the summer, Ms. Campos will once again travel to Kenya to deliver your donations and assist in the building of better facilities for the children at the small village of Mombassa. The final goal is to give support to the orphanage “Baby Life Rescue Centre” so all children can access the basic life necessities such as a balanced diet, water and medical assistance.

We would like to thank our students, parents and teachers for making this afternoon such a memorable celebration, while sharing laughs and great moments.

Congratulations and well done everyone for your hard work!

Nursery Starfish Class

We can’t believe this school year has come to an end! We’ve had an exciting, busy and fun-filled learning journey. We’ve overcome challenges, we’ve worked very hard and we have all grown in so many ways! It has been amazing to watch the children learning progress throughout these months. They worked together as a team, they cared and helped each other when was needed, they played together, they laughed together and they became so independent. What a lovely, fun and amazing group they are! We are going to miss them a lot during this Summer Holiday season!

For our end of season we have chosen the coolest, most refreshing and sweetest activities. We had a water play with our friends in Reception Class and KS1. We have also prepared fruit skewers and lemonade for breakfast. Yummy! Both with the fantastic help from Julia (Alicia’s mum) and Miss Campos.

Dear families, we wish you all a lovely and sunny Summer. See you back in September!

Reception Seahorse Class, Year 1 Seals Class and Year 2 Turtles Class

This week the Seahorses, Seals and Turtles have been enjoying some ‘Summer Sunshine’ activities together to round of a fun-filled year. We all had a wonderful time exploring water play out on the playground; racing through the sprinkler, relaxing in the pools and squirting water at our friends and teachers! On Thursday we spent the morning at Palmanova beach, building sandcastles and playing beach games together before returning to school for a picnic. We hope you all have a fantastic summer and enjoy time with your families. Happy Holidays from Miss Brown, Miss Stott and Miss Conway.

Year 3 Dolphins Class

Dolphin Class have rounded off their fantastic year with lots of fun filled activities this week! We’ve transitioned into our new classroom, which we love and have turned from Dolphins into ‘Jelly-Dols ́ as the children have named us. We have been reflecting on what a wonderful year it has been and celebrated in style by having a party to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments this year. We had a super fun trip to the park where Ms Jacqui and Ms Jackson enjoyed cooling the children down with their water toys. The children are very excited to return the favour in tomorrow's water play activities! What a super year it has been!

Wishing everyone a fun filled, relaxing summer. See you all in September!

Year 4 Jellyfish Class

A message for the Jellyfish class.

This year has been fantastic! It is hard to believe that it has come to an end. We want you to know that you and your classmates have amazed us in SOMANY ways. Most importantly, believe in yourself. Don’t let your fears hold you back. LET YOURSELF do great things. Give yourself permission to DO better. Give yourself permission to BE better. Give yourself permission to BE happy and shine.

We are grateful that we had the opportunity to join you on your learning journey and that somehow we have made a difference.

Thank you for a great year!

Year 5 Whales Class and Year 6 Sharks Class

Memories of La Victoria written by Whales and Sharks Classes.

Tuesday and Wednesday, we were at La Victoria. We went kayaking, swimming, climbing, hiking, orienteering and we did archery. We danced and sang the night away and we finally went to sleep in our sleeping bags in our tents in the forest.

Some highlights were when Matthew and Maya hit the bullseye in archery! Daniela found and protected little creatures. Manu and Maria improved their kayaking skills and became speedy kayakers. Alen rescued Karina, Agna and Georgie from the rocky shores. Some of us found some crabs, eels and shrimp. Filip had some interesting archery skills with a wooden longbow. We all had an amazing time!

Year 6 Sharks Class Graduation

We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all our Year 6 graduates once again, each of whom we are immensely proud, and wish them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours at their new schools. Well done to everyone!

I would like to say a big thank you to all the children that have worked so hard throughout this academic year. A big thank you to those who went the extra mile to say some words in Spanish, another one to those that have shown enthusiasm in all class lessons, to those who have not stopped trying although it could become a challenge. We close this amazing academic year feeling extremely proud of all the children and we look forward to seeing everyone back in September! For all Year 6 students, we wish them good luck for their next stage they are heading into, the next adventures they are facing, and we hope to see them soon!

From the Spanish class, we wish you great summer Holiday!

Miss Campos
