This week at BIC Sant Agustí we were delighted to welcome one of our parents in to do a workshop for Year 5 & 6 based around the fundamentals of public speaking. She was engaging, inspiring and answered questions including "What do you do if you feel nervous before speaking?" and "How do I choose the best thing to talk about?". We believe that public speaking and building student confidence in this area is absolutely vital. We also actively encourage parents to come in and share their talents...so if you are hiding them, please let us know!
Year 3 and 4 visited Palma Old Town today for a tour of the historical sites, led by another one of our parents. Year 1 have completed their amazing Design and Technology project and took home their very own mini hot air balloons. Year 2 continue with their meerkat mischief. Reception have their very own Goldilocks and The Three Bears books on display outside their classroom - so take a look at their fantastic writing. Nursery have been exploring the beebots for their first steps in programming. Our Spanish team are starting their project with all year groups based around famous Spanish artists which will end in an art display later on this term.
Bambini Lingo held their first language session for young children, which was a great success with new families visiting the school and enjoying their interactive taster session. If you have any friends in the area with very young children that are looking for creative language classes then please let them know about this great new club.
We are preparing for our Open Day on February 14th to welcome prospective parents to our school, so please spread the word.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
Principal, BIC Sant Agustí
