Our first virtual parent consultations took place this week and were an opportunity for all parents to discuss their child's progress and next steps. End of year reports will be ready for you to access the last week of June.
We are delighted to let you know that we will be holding a virtual Sports Day on June 5th. As we usually work in House Teams we will continue to do this and encourage the children to cheer each other on. Ms Izabella will start to practice with the students during her live PE lessons each Wednesday.
The theme this year for Mental Health Awareness Week is kindness. Numerous studies show that kindness increases our sense of well-being and boosts our happiness. We have been talking with the children about the importance of kindness and our assembly this week with Ms Jacqui. They came up with lots of ideas of how they can be kind to themselves.

Nursery Starfish Class
Happy Friday Starfishes. We have had a wonderful week of learning through our termly topic Enchanted Forest. Students have been immersed in fantastic projects such as learning how to reduce, reuse and recycle with old tins turning them into beautiful little planters.
During our Spanish lessons, Ms Maria has also shown us and explained the different beautiful flowers she could find in her colorful garden, some names we knew but some of the beautiful flowers were very new to us!
Well done to all our little students for your continued hard work and we look forward to seeing you all back on Monday for more fun learning! See you all back on Monday and have a sunny and restful weekend!
Reception Seahorse Class
It has been a very busy week for our Seahorses. We have been thinking about who lives in our Secret Garden this week. We have explored the mystical and particular night time creatures - can you think of any creatures that come out at night time?
We have also really enjoyed to have the opportunity to speak to all of the parents during our virtual parents meetings. Thank you to all of you who are working so hard at home and supporting your children in their learning development.
We wish all families a very well deserved and restful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all back again on Monday filled with lots of energy!
Year 1 Seals Class
It is FUN Friday for all of our Seals! We wanted to the chance this time to thank you ALL for the fantastic job you are doing throughout this weeks of e-learning. We could not be more proud of all of you for your great learning progress - well done Seals!

Year 3 Dolphins Class
WOW! What a busy week we have had again! In English this week we have started this new Fiction Book. Using Venn Diagrams the Dolphins have compared and contrasted the two main characters Marcie and Armitage.
Our Science projects have been very exciting, we have investigated which materials make the best curtains for a baby's room. But not only that.. We have also looked at the sun and how it's position in the sky changes shadows. Watch below some of the wonderful results!
A message from you teacher - 'Wow Dolphins what a busy week you have had! You have produced some of the most fantastic work and I absolutely love all of your art and science work, I can see you have really used your imagination and understood the subjects. It looks like you had great fun with your learning this week. Yet again I'm very proud of all you have achieved, so give yourselves a MASSIVE high 5 and an even bigger pat on the back!!!'

Our Year 5 Whales class have continued learn all about the Ancient Greece and Greek myths. It has been very interesting to explore at the famous myth about Medusa.
We have also been looking at a poem by Wilf Marttens and we have done our own versions based on his called - 'What do you want to be?'

BIC Virtual Open Days
To respond to the increasing interest from parents who are looking for a school and enrol their chil(ren), both BIC schools have held two Virtual Open Days in April and May (for stages of Early Years, Primary and Secondary) which were positively received by many parents who attended.
Following up the feedback from our last two Open Days and due to these unusual times, BIC would like to offer families the opportunity to get a better idea of our campuses in Sant Agustí (Palma) and Sa Porrassa (Calvià). Therefore we are delighted to inform you that our next Virtual Open Days are scheduled on Wednesday 10th June and Thursday 11th June at 4.30pm where all families will be able to enter a live Q&A session with our Schools’ Principal and Admissions teams.
The virtual Open Day is a great opportunity for you to learn about our Schools, meet our Senior Team and ask any questions in a friendly setting.
