About the Opportunity

We are seeking a determined and committed individual with relevant previous experience in Finance to provide first class support across our two school sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with prior experience to develop the next stage of their career, working for a major employer within an international schools’ group.

You will be primarily responsible for producing month end accounts and commenting on deviations versus budget. You will also act as the first point of contact with auditors, and will produce budgets, cashflows, submit tax returns (Mod303, Mod349, Mod347), Accounts payable and maintain an efficient bookkeeping among other things. You will report into the Business Manager on a daily basis, although will have opportunity to work collaboratively with a number of senior executives across the school and group. This will include the Principals and Senior Leadership teams of both schools, and Group Finance.

The post is due to start in July 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, depending upon candidate availability.

Person Specification

In particular, candidates should meet the following technical profile:

  • Recognised Accounting qualifications or proven recent working experience in Finance.
  • A clear knowledge of Accounting systems, and Spanish taxation.
  • Previous experience, at least 2+ years experience previously in Spain.
  • Bilingual (Strong English and Spanish Language skills), able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong time management skills, able to successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines and able to work on own initiative.
  • Robust computer literacy, including advanced use of Excel.
