Today we celebrate another set of excellent exam results at GCSE, and congratulate the Year 11 class of 2024! As a result of the students' hard work and dedication to their studies, and the outstanding teaching they receive at our school, this summer's results are the best ever!
Overall, more than three-quarters of all grades achieved were at the high pass rate of A* to C, with an incredible 39% of all grades being the top scores of A /A*, or 9/8, significantly surpassing global averages.
Stand-out subjects include -
- Maths, where 88% of all grades awarded were A*-C, and an amazing 39% at A/A*! In addition, the group that sat the incredibly challenging Further Maths IGCSE achieved an A*-C rate of 100%.
- English, where 78% of all grades awarded were A*-C and 49% achieved A*-A in English language. These results are even more impressive when you consider that three-quarters of our students do not have English as their mother tongue!
- Spanish, where a whopping 88% were awarded A*/A. In addition, every single student in the Year 10 group that sat Spanish GCSE a year early achieved an A*! And language exam success was also seen in German where 94% of students achieved an A*-C grade, and 100% in French.

The Year 11 class of 2024 had significant educational disruption in Years 7, 8 and 9, due to COVID, but their results are testament to our ethos and attitude that, with determination and hard work, nothing is impossible!"

Poppy Bland who attained 2 grade 9s, 1 A*, 4 grade 8s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6.
Margarita Amichba who attained 4 grade 9s, 2 A*, 2 grade 8s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6
Aiken Landes-Guinea who attained 2 grade 9s, 1 A*, 1 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and 4 grade 6s
Pauline Geiger who attained 1 grade 9, 2 A*, 2 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and 2 grade 6s
Lilyanna Balfour-Hesse who attained 1 A*, 5 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and 1 grade 6
