Best ever A-Level exam results achieved by the Class of 2025
Baleares International College Sa Porrassa today celebrates with our students a set of outstanding A-level exam results, the best in the school's history.
I am delighted to see these excellent outcomes for our young people. It is important to reflect on their progression from joining our school, often with English as a second language. Today we celebrate their hard work and determination, and the inspiring and dedicated teachers we have in our wonderful school.
Executive Principal, Alison ColwellOver a quarter of all grades awarded are A or A*, and an incredible 88% of all grades are A*- C, which is significantly above the global average of 77.9%.
Whilst we congratulate every single one of our Class of 2025, we would like to offer a special mention to those who achieved all their grades at the highest level:
- Sanja Schaal, Matz Hahnebeck, Henriett Hanak, Clara Kaarle Schlyter and Ellie Middleton achieved all their results at grade A*, A or B
- Victoria Rubi Amaris and Florian Wiegel achieved all A* and A
As well as our students' hard work, we also applaud the leadership of our Head of Sixth Form, Mr Gordon Brown, and Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Ms Claire Turley, whose academic and pastoral support has guided our students through this pivotal stage in their educational journey.
These outcomes are the product of sustained effort, resilience, and ambition, and we could not be prouder of what they have accomplished. We look forward to welcoming them back to BIC in the years ahead to share their journeys and inspire future Sixth Formers
Gordon Brown, Head of Sixth Form
I am so pleased for these students and what they have achieved through their skill, hard work and dedication. They should all be very proud of themselves and excited to start the next chapter of their lives
Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Claire TurleyThese impressive results mean our students are heading off to some of the world's leading universities, including Paris, Groningen in the Netherlands, Madrid, and Manchester, Sheffield and London in the UK, to study for a variety of degrees including law, psychology, art, biomedical engineering, drama and film making, and communications and marketing
Equally noteworthy in these outstanding results is that, on average, students have achieved grades exceeding the expectations set at the start of the course. This achievement reflects both the exceptional quality of teaching and learning at Sa Porrassa and the determination and ambition of our students
*Value-added is the difference between the expected grade from a student’s assessment score at the beginning of their course and the grade they actually achieved.
The growth of our 'Value Added' score this year (the difference between the expected grade from a student’s baseline assessment and the grade they actually achieved) is further evidence that, when a student chooses BIC for Sixth Form, they choose a school dedicated to getting the absolute best out of them.
Head of Secondary, Phil BrownWe offer our outstanding Class of 2025, a huge congratulations - now go on and make your dreams become a reality...
