Baleares International College Sa Porrassa celebrates the best IGCSE results in the school's recent history.

Our summer of 2025, IGCSE students have achieved the best exam results since Covid, and we congratulate every one of them - we know just how much hard work has gone into them receiving today's exceptional results.

Just as with last week's A-Level results, not only have our young people secured a remarkable pass rate overall, but they've achieved this with outstanding grades.

Over a third of all grades are 9-7 (A*/A), and more than four out of five grades are 9-4 (A* to C). These results significantly exceed global averages:

38% 9-7 (A*/A) grades, global average is 21.7%

82% 9-4 (A* to C) grades, global average is 67.6%

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students for achieving another excellent set of GCSE results. We thank our outstanding teachers, supportive families and friends, and most of all our students for their hard work and commitment throughout this journey
Phil Brown, Head of Secondary

Exams sat in the core subjects of English, maths, science and Spanish all achieved a pass rate of 100%, with some standout achievements:

50% of English language grades were awarded 9-7 (A*-A), and only a quarter of our students have mother tongue English

42% of all maths grades 9-7 (A*/A)

Almost 50% science double-awards graded 9-4 (A*-C)

Yet again results in languages were similarly superb, with an incredible:

87% of all Spanish grades 9-7 (A*/A)

100% of all French grades 9-7 (A*/A). And the Year 10 students who sat Spanish a year early all achieved A*

Another hugely successful set of exam results which bear witness to the students and their outstanding teachers. I am so proud not only of the highest achievers but also, as an inclusive school, of the progress made by everyone. Yet again students in our school achieved a grade higher in every subject than they might be expected to
