Alison Thorpe is a dedicated primary educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education and over 20 years of experience across mainstream and specialist settings. She began her international teaching journey in Madrid, working in international schools where she developed a deep love for Spanish culture and multilingual learning communities. After returning to the UK, Alison taught in both state and independent schools in London, where she also served as Head of Year before relocating to Mallorca.
Since 2018, Alison has been a valued member of the team at Baleares International College Sant Agustí, where she works as a Support Teacher within the Inclusion Team. She has taught across all areas of Primary and Early Years education and has completed a local introductory Montessori course, which supports her child‑centered and holistic approach to learning.
Alison also coordinates the school's Forest School programme, bringing her passion for nature, outdoor learning, and environmental stewardship into children’s everyday experiences. Guided by the belief that “When everyone is included, everyone wins”, she is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
She is currently studying for her UK Department for Education Special Educational Needs + Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) qualification and finds balance through yoga, hiking, and time outdoors.
