Congratulations to our Year 11 students on achieving a superb set of results!

Baleares International College Sa Porrassa has, for the third year, celebrated outstanding GCSE exam results in all subjects. This year group had their entire key stage 4 education disrupted by COVID and its accompanying restrictions and challenges, so to have achieved such excellent outcomes is especially impressive.

With a percentage of students achieving at least 5 passes at GCSE including English and maths is 86%, this excellent figure hide even more impressive results, such as in Spanish where 72% of students secured the highest possible grade of A*. In French, English, geography and music all students secured the top grades, and overall an incredible 34% of all grades awarded were A or A*. So many students did well but special mention to Ava, Evan, Michelle and Nick who gained A*, A or B in all their exams.

Celebrating the students’ fantastic achievements, Principal Alison Colwell said,

Following the outstanding exam success last week of Year 13, these results are again testament to the hard work and commitment of Year 11 students and the excellent teaching they receive. I am looking forward to many of them returning to our Sixth Form and building on these outstanding exam results

This is a superb set of results which reflects the continued hard work and excellence of our teachers. I am so proud of all of our GCSE students who worked very hard to catch up during a difficult and challenging two years. This is just the beginning of future success but has laid down the skills and tenacity, grit and purpose they will need to thrive going forward. Well done, Year 11. It was wonderful and awe inspiring to be your Head of Secondary for these last couple of years, and I wish you all the very best of happiness for the next stage of your academic career.
All the best and good luck!
