We are thrilled to have received the BSO accreditation and to be the first schools on the Balearic Islands to be given this prestigious award!

We are absolutely delighted to have been granted the British School Overseas accreditation following last month's inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

The BSO accreditation is the UK government's official recognition for British international schools, ensuring that they meet the high educational standards comparable to independent schools in the UK. This accreditation signifies that a school has undergone a rigorous inspection by Department of Education-approved inspectorates.

Their official findings across both schools reinforce what we have known for a long time - ours are truly great schools, with wonderful students and outstanding teachers.

The quality of teaching and learning shone through, with the team hugely impressed by what they saw going on in the classrooms, the science labs, the drama and music studios and the sporting areas. From Early Years to Year 13 they commented extremely positively about the high standards, teacher knowledge and expertise, the planning and the consistency. They referenced several times the very good progress students make in our schools as a result of such great teachers. They were also extremely impressed by the quality and strength of our British curriculum, which we have done an enormous amount of work on over the last few years.

Our wonderful students did us proud, and the inspectors commented on how the warmth of relationships across the schools stood out. Our values came through really strongly; as we have often said, our school values are not words on the wall but they underpin everything that we do. Equally they commented very positively on the standards of behaviour across the schools. The inspectors also recognised the enormous amount of work that goes on in our schools to ensure the wellbeing, safety and happiness of our students.

Not only did our schools meet all the standards that we are judged against, but in most areas they actually exceeded them. This represents a considerable achievement for all our staff, and reflects our relentless commitment to doing the absolute best for the children in our care.
