Jessica Jackson is a Year 6 teacher at Baleares International College, Sant Agustí. She holds a BA (Hons) in Social Work from Southampton Solent University, as well as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Canterbury Christ Church University, and has ten years of experience teaching within the British National Curriculum.
Her teaching philosophy emphasises a highly inclusive, child‑centred, and multisensory approach, strongly shaped by her early career in social work. This background provided her with a deep understanding of child development, emotional wellbeing, and family contexts - insights that continue to guide her commitment to creating supportive, responsive learning environments. Her experience as a SENDCo further strengthens her practice, ensuring that she uses adapted and accessible strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs.
Jessica has gained international teaching experience in London, Mallorca, Barcelona, and the United States, which has shaped her culturally responsive approach and her passion for celebrating diversity within the school community.
Outside the classroom, Jessica is an avid traveller and enjoys exploring new cultures and places. She is also enthusiastic about a wide range of sports and is passionate about promoting physical education across the primary phase, firmly believing that sport plays a vital role in children’s wellbeing, teamwork, and confidence.
