Marina Mas Torres is a Spanish and Catalan teacher at the Balearic International College Sant Agustí. She is currently in her fourth year of teaching primary school students. She has been a valuable member of our language team since 2022. Before joining the school, she spent three years working at another educational centre, providing learning support to children experiencing academic difficulties — an experience that has had a significant impact on her teaching approach.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, specialising in Physical Education, from the University of the Balearic Islands. After her first year of teaching languages to native and non-native speakers, she developed a keen interest in language learning, inspired by the speed with which children can acquire a new language.

Marina is deeply passionate about her profession and truly enjoys working with children. She combines play-based learning with structured writing activities in her lessons, achieving positive and meaningful learning outcomes. She describes herself as cheerful, empathetic and approachable, and believes these qualities are essential in education. She brings them into the classroom every day.

Outside of school, Marina is a very sociable and positive person. She enjoys dancing, singing, playing sports and spending quality time with her family and friends.
