Dear families,

As we come to the end of this half term, it is unbelievable to think that we are already over halfway through the school year! We recently celebrated 100 days of this school year, as Year 2 reminded us with activities based around this day. Our parent meetings with teachers during this last week gave parents the chance to see some of the super work the children have been doing, as well as the chance to see the school and the classrooms.

Our recent Art competition was entitled “Looking Ahead”, and the children produced some wonderful and thought-provoking pieces of artwork. They were so different and it is always interesting to see the children’s thoughts pictured in their work. The winning pieces of art are shown below, with our winners receiving their certificates at the end of the week.

We are certainly “looking ahead” to see what the second half of the year will bring and we have already planned some exciting events including swimming, trips and special event days such as Maths Day and Poetry Day, not to mention the everyday lessons!

Although it is exciting to plan and look ahead it is also equally important to make sure that we enjoy what is happening in the moment too. Sometimes we can get so engrossed in planning for the future that we forget to enjoy what is happening around us. With that in mind, and with the holiday next week, take the time to enjoy the moment and enjoy the week with your children, making memories.

Wishing you a lovely half term holiday,

Warm regards
