Our families choose Sant Agustí because we are the only international school on the island that is dedicated exclusively to primary education, as such we nurture children aged 3 to 11. This gives our school a clear focus and a unique, primary-focused environment. We are proud of our supportive and inclusive community, where teachers and parents work together to lay strong foundations for a love of learning. This enables children to grow into confident, capable, and kind students, prepared for their move to secondary education.

In Sant Agustí, we welcome each child into a warm, friendly atmosphere with a strong community feel. Our children feel safe, happy and nurtured. We treat each child as a unique individual and aim to instil in them a sense of curiosity and a love of learning that will continue throughout their lives

Why choose Sant Agustí?

A specialist primary education

We’re proud to be an international school that welcomes children from a wide range of nationalities. Even our youngest learners are encouraged to develop a global mindset, helping them build a world view full of possibility and opportunity.

As a primary-only school, everything we do—from our teaching staff to our learning environment—is carefully designed to meet the unique needs of young children. When our older pupils are ready to take the next step to secondary education, we ensure a smooth and confident transition.

Through shared activities with our sister school, Sa Porrassa, students gradually become familiar with the secondary setting in a way that feels natural and supportive. Even those who plan to continue their education elsewhere benefit from this gentle introduction to “big school,” making the leap when they’re truly ready.

This allows children to thrive in the comfort and joy of a dedicated primary setting, where they feel secure, supported, and ready to learn. It’s an environment that builds confidence and fosters a lifelong love of learning.

Our Curriculum

Our excellent reputation is due to our unwavering commitment to ensuring that our children receive an exceptionally high-quality and extremely rounded education. It's our strong belief that this is what every child deserves.

Therefore, we are committed to providing a truly authentic and specialised primary education. From the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through both the Key Stages of education our programme is delivered within the framework and learning milestones of the British curriculum. We deliver this in small class sizes, where children get individual care and support.

  • EYFS  = ages 3-5
  • Key Stage 1 = Academic years 1 and 2, ages 5-7
  • Key Stage 2 = Academic years 3-6, ages 7-11

Parents appreciate our curriculum for its strong British foundations and authentic teaching approaches. At the same time, they value how we enrich it with local culture, thanks to specialist teachers who use British methodologies to teach Catalan and Spanish, grounding our students in the best of both worlds and enabling them to continue their studies in an international or local setting.

Our Community

With no more than 160 students, our school offers a truly personal environment—one where every child feels a strong sense of belonging. It’s a space that feels like theirs, where they are known, valued, and supported by everyone around them.

But it’s not just our students who benefit from being part of our close-knit community. In primary education, it’s essential that the whole family feels involved and connected. That’s why we host regular coffee mornings and community gatherings—to ensure that parents feel just as welcome and valued as their children.

We understand that for many families, this may not be their home country, so creating a warm, inclusive environment is part of how we support not just learning, but the overall happiness and well-being of our school community.

Exploring beyond the classroom

We believe that learning flourishes when students are given the chance to explore new environments and connect with the world around them.  Primary-aged children in particular are natural explorers, and the more they explore, the more they grow. That’s why we take every opportunity to get them out of the classroom and into the community.

We collaborate closely with our linked school, Sa Porrassa, on enriching school excursions and exciting end-of-year residential adventure trips. These experiences offer students the opportunity to explore, build independence through new friendships, gain confidence, and develop lasting memories.

We also make the most of external facilities to broaden our students’ learning experiences. Highlights include regular use of the local sports centre, where children enjoy swimming lessons and take part in our annual Sports Day—an energetic celebration of teamwork, skill, and fun. We also visit our local sailing club, where children build confidence and resilience while having an unforgettable time out on the water.

Outdoor learning is also at the heart of our approach. Children are often happiest when they’re learning through hands-on exploration—ideally with their hands in the mud! Whether it’s investigating natural habitats, gardening, or simply playing outside, we take every opportunity to get students into nature.
